Summary:

The overall goal of our project is to improve the employment chances of poor, isolated people with supporting, generating their job- searching activity outside Sirok; to generate positive changes in their life, in their mobility, in their strategies for living; to develop their social competences. The programme has two directions: (1) providing the operation of the “social service house” in Sirok, reconstruction and modernisation of the building; (2) the „Return ticket program”. The former community house was established in 2009, during the project eliminated the Roma ghetto in Sirok. We would like to develop and continue the activities and services, we plan to take over the operation of the house from TÁMOP 5.1.3. project.
The “social service house” is the base of individual consultation and social work, labour market services, community programs, actions and works. Our whole association is based on the house and it’s community. „Return ticket” program aims to mobilize poor, unemployed, mainly Roma people in Sirok with individual and grouped mentoring activity and reimbursement of their travel costs. The project intend to activate them in order to find jobs, relationships and other experiences in Eger. We would like to help them getting new connections, information, learning and working models. The expected results of the project are: one third of the target group finds a job, the “social service house” becomes sustainable and our association will be stronger.
